This place is amazing, Carolyn was a superstar throughout the whole process.
The property is beautiful, it’s huge with ample space for large groups but also plenty of quiet areas to sit and just soak up the ambiance of the property. We loved every second of our stay , we had a shoot morning with the wonderful Phil at the Brandon wood clay and that’ was exceptional.
I can’t write in 500 words how exceptional this property is and how wonderful the hosts are.
We will most definitely return.

We recently stayed at the lodge for a 40th birthday with a mix of adults and kids ages from 1 to 13.
The lodge had everything for the whole group and we never had to leave all weekend with so much to do on site.
Carolyn was friendly, quick to respond and made the whole booking easy.
We are already looking at dates for next year with the whole group loving the lodge.

Just spent 4 nights over New Year with the family, 17 of us in total, 13 adults, 4 children. Amazing house, ideal location, lots to do, in the house and surrounding area, we all had an amazing time. Thank you Carolyn, you certainly have a hidden gem here.

I wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for a wonderful stay in beautiful Gorse Lodge.
From the moment we arrived, everyone was impressed by the property and the attention to detail in every aspect of the accommodation. The cleanliness, comfort, and amenities provided truly exceeded everyone’s expectations. It felt like a home away from home.

Overall, our experience at the property was exceptional,and I cannot thank you enough for your hospitality..

We used the house for our yearly get together and we were concerned that it would be a squeeze with 15 of us. We needn’t have worried, there aren’t many houses where you can seat 15 in the sitting room. It is so much bigger than the pictures show and so beautifully decorated and furnished, we never felt on top of each other. We didn’t cook much but there was a whole walk in cupboard full of every cooking utensil, plus a huge fridge freezer, so plenty of space if you did want to cook all your meals.

Unfortunately the weather was so lovely that we didn’t get to use the games room to its full potential but made full use of the outside space instead. The cinema room was brilliant and we did manage to use this. All of the bedrooms are en-suite too so no bathroom queues. We did have a couple of issue and the hosts we contactable and solved the issues swiftly.

We loved the house so much that we are already looking to book the same time next year and we know come rain or shine, there will be plenty of space and plenty to do.
